Politics is really a game to play for candidates running for the May 14 elections. They need to gamble millions just to get the public’s attention. 10 years back … print ad remains to be the sole medium of all candidates. But now, it’s like endorsing a new product with the aid of tri-media!

Here’s the list of the senators making a primetime slot in our regular homeviewing!
1. Propero Pichay – sadya ka bang gulay o may planong maging pansahog sa mga chopsuey sa Malacañang?
2. Kiko Pangilinan– “K” ka na ba …. “K” na! Cute nina Frankie & Miel!
3. Joker Arroyo– pano ka naging dragon? may napalagablab ka na bang apoy? Sa dragon katol pa din po ako
4. Mike Defensor – walking ‘tol astig ka, kapitbahay pa ni big brother ang endorser mo!
5. Tito Sotto – and senti ng ad mo! Actor ka talaga!
6. Ralph Recto – koRECTO ka ba o balimbing? Si VP de Castro pa endorser mo!
7. Jun Magsaysay – are you the guy? Magkano ibinayad mo sa Imago for the Taralets ad?
8. Migz Zubiri – daig mo pa si Zoro with your “Z” logo. Saludo kami kay Lito Camo sa jingle mo! Zubiri Zubiri Boom Boom Boom
9. Ping Lacson – mas may tema po ang ad natin ngayon ah! Buti na lang hindi na po sabon ang produkto natin!
10. Ed Angara – ang gara ng ad nyo po … magara ba talaga sya Ate Sarah?
11. Tessie Aquino – Oreta – may plano po ba kayong magtayo ng preschool?
12. Loren Legarda – for the people .. pro-poor .. pro-magsasaka
13. Manny Villar – ang galling nya sumayaw with the palengke people! Tigas ng body mo ‘tol!
14. Chavit Singson – idol ng masa? Kelan ka pa kayo naging miyembro ng Hagibis? Daig nyo pa si Manny Paquiao ah.
15. Noynoy Aquino – tindig balahibo po ang ad ng dugong bayani! Sana andun sina James and Kris
16. Chiz Escudero – yellow din pala po ang motif nyo. Cute nyo sa ad!

of all the senatoriable ads, it's tessie aquino's that really catches my attention. i dont have anything personal about this lady, but the first commercial where she was a crying lady was changed already. The second commercial now shows a crying battered wife. She realized maybe that she's not a better actress than Ate Vi.(Sigh) Wala na bang matinong Ad. Kungdi umiiyak, sumasayaw.

Have you seen the latest ad of Tessie Oreta? Whew! She beat Mayor Vi in the Drama Queen slot.

I'm glad there is a venue for us to articulate our opinions about what's happening in the election process. It opens an opportunity for others to be analytic of what we post and comment on them.

Digging deeper of what lies behind the Senatorial Ads campaign, it just reflects to whom these ads are intended for - the Filipino masses (classes C, D, E) that comprise 80% of the Philippine population. And all candidates would do anything to get their votes. This means that at this peculiar amusing and vexing times, the rich haul down their flags to meet the poor.

You see, the ads do not only say about who these candidates are but they actually portray who their voters are. All the candidates are products packaged and brought to the market with the end goal of being sold to the public.

Now, I guess the next question is, are we really the kind of market they think we are? Do we really fit their advertisement campaigns?

As a Lasallian, I refuse to believe so.

Marami pa rin nagbebenta ng kanilang boto.

Do not sell your vote. Why? You can't demand anything, because your politician already paid for your vote.

Example: You cannot ask for a job kc binoto mo sya. Balewala ka na sa kanya.. Reason nya, "binayaran kita, wala ko utang sa 'yo!"

So Vote Wisely!

Ganyan naman ang mga kandidato puro pangako kaya huwag natin silang iboto.

Libreng gupit, pagpapakain ng sopas, regalo sa musmos na kabataan kasama ang mga magulang. Iba't ibang gimik ang nagaganap para lang akitin ang mga botante. Pero lahat nang ito ay nauuwi sa isang bagay: pera, pera, pera na naglalaro sa kampanya ng eleksyon. Walang plataporma o programa, puro personalidad. Ano kaya ang maaasahan natin sa kanila.kawawang mga pinoy kayang paglaruan ng mga kandidato.
